چکیده

Sih.?Regarding Dr. Subra Row's opinion of using " quinine in pregnancy," I beg to state that in my experience "quinine" rarely does harm to a pregnant women suffering from malarial fever. Recently I treated two cases of advanced pregnancy (one seven months' pregnancy and another nine months' pregnancy), suffering from malarial fever (both with high fever, enlarged spleen and liver). I treated them with quinine ten grains daily for four days. In both cases it did not induce labour at all. _ I administered quinine in malarial fever in pregnant state in several cases but with no bad result. I tried to induce^ labour in three malarial cases with pregnancy with quinine, but it proved ineffective.
